  • 11:00 AM | Shotgun Start

⛳ Tournament Format: 4‑Person SHAMBLE BEST BALL

How it works:

  • Use the best tee shot from your group on every hole.
  • From that spot, each golfer plays their own ball (regular golf).
  • Two‑putt maximum.
  • Your team’s score = the lowest individual score on each hole.

Example:
Scores: 4, 4, 3, 5 → Team score = 3

Notes:

  • Only team scores matter.
  • No individual putting or low‑gross trophies will be awarded.
  • Event will have three flights, with gift card prizes.

FAQ

 I am a captain—what do I need to do?

  • Inform your foursome of all event details.
  • Check in for your group at the registration table (10:00–10:45 AM).
  • Pick up one golf goodie bag, which includes 4 individual golfer bags.

 Scoring Information (Golf Genius App)

  • Optional mobile scoring via the Golf Genius app.
  • Sign in using the GGID code (shown on your scorecard/cart tag).
  • Only one golfer per group needs to enter scores.
  • App users do NOT turn in physical scorecards.
  • Call the Pro Shop with questions: 314‑367‑1337

Important:
Do NOT use the app if your group chooses to play a scramble instead of the required shamble format.

Captains:
Turn in your team scorecard to the pro shop immediately after play.

🏌️ Course Assignment

Play includes both:

  • Dogwood
  • Hawthorn

Follow course marshals to your starting hole.

Starting Hole Examples:

  • D‑8 → 1st foursome on Dogwood #8
  • H‑7B → 2nd foursome on Hawthorn #7

“A” indicates first foursome; “B” indicates second.

🍽 What’s Included per Player

  • Boxed deli lunch (10:00–11:00 AM)
  • 2 drink tickets (domestic beer, soda, water, Gatorade)
  • Golf + cart
  • Charity putting contest benefitting CONNECT 4 SUCCESS
  • Dinner Buffet: Chef’s Taco Bar

🥪 Lunch Menu (10–11 AM)

  • Turkey, Roast Beef, or Ham on a fresh kaiser roll
  • Swiss, provolone, or cheddar
  • Lettuce & tomato
  • Premium chips
  • Gourmet cookies
  • Soda & water

🌮 Dinner Menu: Chef’s Taco Bar

  • Warm flour tortillas
  • Seasoned taco beef
  • Slow‑roasted pulled chicken
  • Roasted mixed vegetables (vegetarian)
  • Black beans
  • Shredded lettuce, salsa, sour cream, pico de gallo, guacamole, shredded cheese
  • Chocolate chunk brownies

👕 Dress Code

  • Collared or polo shirts
  • No denim

  • Plan for 5.5 hours of golf
  • Dinner + Awards: approx. 1 hour

    Golf Tournament Rules & Weather Policy Notice

    To ensure a smooth and enjoyable tournament experience for all participants, please review the following important rules and policies regarding weather and course conditions:

    Weather Policy

    • Rain alone does NOT constitute cancellation of the tournament.
    • Play will continue unless the golf course is officially closed by course management.

    Authority to Close the Course

    • The General Manager and Director of Golf of Forest Park Arcis Golf are the only individuals authorized to officially close the golf course.

    Communication of Closure

    • In the event of a course closure:
      • The individual who registered the foursome (the “Captain”) will be notified using the email and/or phone number provided during registration.
      • Participants may also call:
        • Pro Shop: 314-367-1337, Ext. 2
        • Questions about Play: Ext. 229

    Tournament Completion Guidelines

    • The tournament will be considered officially completed if:
      • 9 holes have been played, OR
      • 2.5 hours of play have been completed by all participants

    Weather-Related Interruption / Closure

    • If severe weather or other circumstances beyond the control of course management require closure of the facility during play:
      • The above completion guidelines will determine whether the tournament is final.

    Rescheduling Policy

    • If Forest Park Arcis Golf cancels the tournament before 9 holes (or 2.5 hours) are completed:
      • The tournament will be rescheduled.
      • All registered attendees’ Captains will be notified of the new date.
