The Value of EBMI Committees for Professional Development
EBMI committees provide a strong platform for professional growth by offering exposure to cross-functional perspectives and strategic decision-making. Members develop key skills such as data analysis, communication, and problem-solving while contributing to impactful initiatives. Celebrating Our 75th Annual Holiday Mixer!
On December 3rd, we will proudly host our 75th Annual Holiday Mixer, bringing together over 400 attendees for an evening of connection, celebration, and community spirit.
This cherished tradition is more than just a festive gathering—it’s an opportunity to:
- Network with fellow members and industry peers
- Support a charitable cause that makes a difference- Saint Louis Crisis Nursery
- Enjoy a fun, engaging program featuring highlights from the past year
What makes this event truly special? It’s coordinated by a committee of our members—created for our members, by our members.

Objectives:
- Providing programs that offer the opportunity to strengthen personal, professional, and industry skills.
- Allowing those newer to our industry to gain a deeper understanding of the inner workings of the eastern Missouri and southern Illinois region and build connections with all segments of the electrical industry.
- Creating a pipeline of future EBMI leaders.
- This committee coordinates a number of industry events as well as participating in other EBMI activities and programs. By engaging those newer to our industry and encouraging them to participate, we can increase engagement. B
- This committee is hosting annual GOLFfest (September).
- You can participate as a member of the committee (2 or 3 meetings a year) or by planning to attend the events and activities during the year. Either way, you will receive benefits.

- EBMI Veterans is a proud and active group of military veterans working in the electrical industry. They meet throughout the year to connect, support one another, and organize meaningful events — including the annual Memorial Day Observance and Luncheon held at Kirkwood Memorial Park.
- If you're a veteran in the electrical field, we invite you to join this community and participate in upcoming activities like bingo nights, movie nights, and our annual BBQ for veterans and their families. These events offer a great way to give back, build camaraderie, and honor those who’ve served.
- Not a veteran? You can still get involved! Volunteers are always welcome to assist at events — especially the VA BBQ, which is open to all EBMI members and guests. In October 2019, we had 32 volunteers serve over 75 veterans, families, and staff — a testament to the power of community support.

A Committee of EBMI
WEB connects over 80 women from all sectors of the electrical industry—distributors, contractors, utilities, manufacturers, and more. Our members represent companies like Ameren, Graybar, Schaeffer Electric, Eaton, and many others.

- WEB Membership: $50/year
- EBMI “Active” Membership: $120/year (includes WEB membership)

Meetings
Held monthly (Sept–May), typically on Tuesdays:
- 5:30–6:00 PM: Hospitality (cash bar)
- 6:15–7:15 PM: Dinner
- 7:15–8:15 PM: Program
Cost: $40–$55 per meeting (no obligation to join to attend)
No Time Commitment Required
Attend one meeting or all—it’s up to you! Many members bring coworkers or industry peers.
